A life-long passion for rescue that began with a needle and thread.

My journey with animal welfare began over 30 years ago in Reno, Nevada, with the Saints of the West. Long before I began documenting these dogs through a lens, I was in the trenches—sewing quilts for auctions, baking for fundraisers, and even dressing up as a walk-about character to raise funds to help these gentle giants.

Since moving to the Midwest in 2006, that passion has evolved. In 2021, I officially dedicated my professional photography services to the rescue community, using my 30 years of technical expertise to give a voice to the voiceless. This gallery is a curated look at the fundraisers, holiday events, and 'Adopt Me' sessions we’ve been honored to photograph for the organizations that do so much for Kansas City’s dogs.
